MD Storms Could Bookend Thanksgiving Weekend: See Forecast
Rain could throw a wrench in Thanksgiving traffic. Gusts up to 38 mph are also expected during the travel period.
As Marylanders gear up to hit the road for Thanksgiving weekend, drivers should be aware of two minor rainstorms and winds that could throw traffic into a tizzy.
Wednesday will be the warmest day of the travel period with a high near 70. There is a chance of rain, however, through Wednesday afternoon. Gusts could reach 38 mph by Wednesday night.
The rain should subside for Thanksgiving Day, but the wind may remain with gusts up to 31 mph and a high around 44 degrees.

Black Friday should be a breezy, but sunny, day with a high near 42 degrees. The sun is expected to continue through Saturday for a high of 43, but the clouds could return on Sunday.
The daytime hours are forecast to bring a high of around 50, but there's a 30% chance of rain, growing to a 50% chance by the evening. There are also chances of rain on Monday and Tuesday.

The possible Wednesday and Sunday storms could bookend the busy travel period.
AAA anticipates longer travel times throughout the Mid-Atlantic this holiday weekend.
Roadtrips from Washington, D.C. to Baltimore via the Baltimore-Washington Parkway were expected to take an hour and 50 minutes at the peak time of Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. That's 166% longer than normal.
Sunday at 2:15 p.m., the drive down Interstate 95 from Philadelphia to Baltimore could take two hours and 38 minutes, up 85%.
Maryland officials also said these are the best times to cross the Bay Bridge, Fort McHenry Tunnel and the Nice/Middleton Bridge.
