Teen Shot, 16-Year-Old Arrested In Reisterstown: Police

A teenager was shot in Reisterstown. Police said they arrested a 16-year-old boy in the case.

REISTERSTOWN, MD — Police on Wednesday announced the arrest of a 16-year-old boy after a teenager was shot Tuesday in Reisterstown.

Officers said the shooting happened around 12:25 p.m. in the 13000 block of Heil Manor Drive. That's located in a neighborhood of single-family homes.

Authorities said they found the victim with a gunshot wound to a lower extremity.

Medics took the victim to a hospital, the press release said.

"The victim in this case continues to recover," Baltimore County Police Department spokesperson Detective Trae Corbin told Patch in a Wednesday afternoon email.

Officers said they detained the suspect on Tuesday and announced the following day that they arrested him.

Authorities declined to answer Patch's questions on the age and gender of the victim. They also declined to identify the suspect, reveal the charges against him and say whether he was charged as an adult or a juvenile.
