Thanksgiving Shooting Victim IDed As 20-Year-Old Man: Baltimore County Police

A man fatally shot on Thanksgiving was identified by Baltimore County police. He was 20 years old, officers said.

PIKESVILLE, MD — Police on Friday identified the man who was fatally shot on Thanksgiving in Pikesville.

Officers identified the victim as 20-year-old Caron Means.

Authorities said they were called to the unit block of Hawthorne Avenue around 2:45 p.m. Thursday.

The mostly residential street has a few businesses near its intersection with Reisterstown Road. The back of a golf course lies across the street from Hawthorne Avenue.

First responders said they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound and took him to a hospital, where he died soon after.

Investigators think this was an isolated incident. There is no active threat to the community.
