Tornado Watch Canceled For Baltimore County
A tornado watch was canceled hours before it was to expire.
BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Hours before a tornado watch was set to expire, the National Weather Service canceled the alert.
Allegany, Baltimore, Carroll, Cecil, Garrett, Harford, Howard and Washington counties as well as Baltimore City were under the watch, which meant conditions are favorable for the development of a tornado.
Cancellation of the tornado watch was "due to the decreasing threat of severe storms," the Maryland Emergency Management Agency said in a statement.
