Towson Crime: Two Banks Robbed

Towson Park

York Road, 1000 block. 11:41 a.m. Oct. 18. Someone passed a note to a teller at M&T Bank demanding money and implying that he had a weapon, police said. The teller handed him an unknown amount of cash.

York Road, 6300 block. Between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. Oct. 18. A man was kidnapped in Baltimore City and driven to PNC Bank, where he was reportedly forced to cash a money order and make a withdrawal. He was then driven back to the city, police said.

Hillendale

Daytona Road, 1700 block. Between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Oct. 19. Someone broke glass in the back door of a home and ransacked a bedroom, stealing a TV, DVD player, jewelry and a computer, police said.

Wentworth Avenue, 1700 block. Between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Oct. 21. A 47-inch LG television, PlayStation 3 and Sony digital camera were reported stolen. Police said the burglar entered through a rear bathroom window and left through the back door.

Loch Raven

Loch Raven Boulevard, 8400 block. 1 a.m. Oct. 21. A 10-pound roll of copper wire was reported stolen through a window from an apartment storage room.

Somerset Manor Apartments

Kenilworth Avenue and Camberley Circle. 8:15 p.m. Oct. 21. An unarmed robber approached a victim on a street corner and said, "Give me what you got." The victim then handed over a pack of cigarettes and said, "I got nothing." The robber then punched the victim in the face and he and another man fled toward Bosley Avenue, police said.

Towson Woods Apartments

Witherwood Court, unit block. Between 5 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. Oct. 22. Two men kicked down a door to enter a home, police said. Someone in the home attacked them and the men fled without taking anything.

Anneslie

Walker Avenue, 600 block. Between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Oct. 20. A pearl necklace, Dell laptop and $500 were reported stolen. A back window was forced open.

Glendale

Queens Ferry Road, 6800 block. 10:30 p.m. Oct. 29. Two men, one with what appeared to be an assault rifle, approached a woman and demanded her purse, police said. She complied.

Idlewylde

Overbrook Road, 900 block. Between 7 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. Oct. 19. An Xbox console, controller and game were reported stolen. The front door was unlocked.
