Towson Crime: String of Area Burglaries

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Hillendale

Willow Oak Road, 8500 block. Between 5 p.m., Sept. 26 and noon, Sept. 29. A swastika was found drawn on a fence.

Taylor Avenue, 900 block. 8:30 p.m., Sept. 28. In a parking lot, a man who was standing by his car was approached by a man with a black semi-automatic handgun. The robber stole $15 and fled toward Loch Raven Boulevard.

Towson

Dulaney Valley Road, 1000 block. Between 11:20 a.m. and 4:45 p.m., Sept. 26. Two MacBooks were reported stolen from an unlocked dorm room. Police believe the incident is related to four similar burglaries on the Goucher campus.

Squires Road, 700 block. 1 p.m., Sept. 26. While a resident was outside, someone entered a home through the back door and reportedly stole a gold watch, three silver rings and an opal ring.

Loch Hill Road, 6500 block. Between 8:30 a.m. and 12:20 p.m., Sept. 27. A rear window was broken and a laptop and GPS were reported stolen.

Riderwood

Jeffers Road, 1400 block. Between 7:30 a.m. and 6 p.m., Sept. 29. A Dell laptop, sterling silver flatware and gold earrings were reported stolen. The front door was unlocked.

Thornton Road, 8300 block. Between 8:20 a.m. and 12:20 p.m., Sept. 27. A jewelry box, wallet and money were reported stolen. A door was forced open.

Landrake Road, 1800 block. Between 8:45 a.m. and 10 a.m., Sept. 26. A laptop and Nintendo DS game were reported stolen. The rear door was unlocked.
