Towson Native Releases Online Novel
Meagan Lopez's self-published "Three Questions" is her first foray onto the Kindle.
Meagan Lopez has been around the world, pursued an acting career and gone on a 3,000 mile roadtrip to Las Vegas. So being a self-published author scares her little.
The West Towson native, 29, recently published her first book, Three Questions, on Amazon's Kindle service.
The book, loosely based on that Vegas roadtrip, tells the story of two friends going through a quarter-life crisis. Adele is a struggling actress, Chelsea is in an unhappy marriage. And on a call from Chelsea, both decide to go cross-country.

Lopez, a and Baltimore School for the Arts graduate, moved to Hollywood at 18 to attend the University of Southern California. She dabbled in acting, with bit parts in productions like Sleepy Hollow High, The Replacements (both filmed in Maryland) and the TV show Numb3rs. Most of her IMDB credits come in casting films like Jennifer's Body and Max Payne.
"I soon just became disenchanted with the whole thing," she said. She fell in love and lived overseas for several years.

Now Lopez lives in Chicago, where she works in social media. She soon realized she had all the tools to finish her book. The Internet was her billboard. Her book club was her editor.
"You're kind of like an entrepreneur in one sense that you're writing it, you're marketing it, you're editing it, you have to learn a little HTML for the Kindle," she said. "But ultimately, I'm in control of it, which I like."
Three Questions is available as a Kindle e-book on Amazon.com for $2.99.
