What You Need to Know About Towson's Fourth of July Parade
A popular Towson event returns downtown.

Kids on bikes, waving politicians, marching bands—yup, the Towson Fourth of July Parade is coming up.
The parade kicks off at 10:30 a.m. at Bosley and Burke avenues, according to the website. The route is 1.4 miles long and ends on the west side of Susquehanna Avenue, near the Towson police precinct.
As is tradition, the bike rush, which features more than 130 bikes, scooters, wagons and strollers decorated and ridden by children, will lead the parade.
The free event also includes band performances, costumed character, vendors and antique cars.
Parking is available for free at all municipal parking garages, according to the website. Patrons can also use the Towson Commons Movie Theater garage or a $5 fee.
Street parking is also allowed early in the morning, though streets bordering the parade route will be closed to traffic between 9 and 9:30 a.m.
The event will occur rain or shine.
