Towson University will be testing its external voice emergency system Friday.

If you hear alarms coming from Towson University Friday, don't panic.
The college will be conducting several tests of its external voice emergency system that will include audible warning tones and voice messages, according to a news release. The tests will start at 10 a.m.
School officials warn that the sounds may be heard in neighboring communities, though no action is necessary.
