PHOTO: West Towson Home Severely Damaged by Storm

One West Towson home essentially cut in half by a tree.

Though Towson was not the hardest hit in Friday night's thunderstorms, Patch found significant damage in some Towson neighborhoods.

One home in the 600 block of Chestnut Avenue in West Towson was effectively cut in half by a tree uprooted from the front yard. One car behind the home was damaged by falling debris.

WBAL-TV, reporter David Collins visited the scene and was asked to leave by a resident, who apparently confirmed that no one was injured. No residents and no emergency vehicles appeared to be nearby when a Patch reporter visited minutes later.

Additionally, watch for flooding along area roads and fallen trees and branches that may block roadways.

Accuweather says to expect the storms to slow down later thie evening, with sunny and breezy weather in the forecast for Saturday.
