We thank you for giving him to us to know and to love as a companion in our pilgrimage on earth and our service to our community.

We lift him up into your loving arms. Hold him and his family, friends, and colleagues in your heart and our prayers.

No words can express how much this hurts.

Those we love don't go away. They walk beside us every day, Unseen, unheard, but always near, Still loved, still missed and very dear.

Give us faith to see that death has been swallowed up in the victory of our creator so that we may live in confidence and hope until, by your call, we are gathered to our heavenly home in the company of all your saints.

May the memories of happy times sustain the support of family and friends and comfort us and may the Great Power’s love embrace our greater community and bring us peace.

Amen.
