St. Paul’s United Church of Christ and The Shepherd’s Staff, in partnership with many community organizations that serve the homeless, will be offering their annual Blues Christmas and Homeless Memorial Service on Sunday, December 21st. The service will take place in the Sanctuary at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ at 7 p.m. All are welcome.
The holiday season can be a difficult time for many and the service hopes to assist those that might feel anxiety, grief, or sadness during this time. The service will include blues performances. Henry Reiff will be the anchor for the band and will be joined by other local musicians.
The conclusion of the service will include a memorial for local homeless individuals who have passed away over the past year. According to Brenda Meadows, Executive Director of The Shepherd’s Staff, “This is a chance for the community to come together to recognize and remember homeless individuals that passed and might not have had a service. We hope all can join us for this beautiful, heartfelt service.”
