Mizeur Blasts Health Care Exchange 'Debacle'
Del. Heather Mizeur is the latest gubernatorial candidate to attack the state's implementation of the Affordable Care Act.

Del. Heather Mizeur slammed the rollout of the stateβs health care exchange in a news release calling Marylandβs the implementation of the Affordable Care Act a "debacle."
"Rather than becoming a shining example of how a good government state could best implement this new major reform, Marylandβs performance has been among the worst in the country," Mizeur, who is running for the Democratic nomination for governor, said in a news release.
Mizeur tried to contrast the implementation of a health care exchange under the administration of Gov. Martin OβMalley and Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown with the stateβs experience with legislation she supported expanding access to the child health insurance program. Β

Both Harford County Executive David Craig, aΒ Republican gubernatorial candidate,Β and Attorney General Doug Gansler, aΒ Democratic gubernatorialΒ candidate, have used the stateβs troubled health careΒ exchange as an opportunity to attack Brown, who is also running for governor. Brown was in charge of the health care exchangeβs implementation. Β
