Owner Burned In Car Fire, $3,500 Damage Reported
A Westminster resident was treated for burns after their car caught on fire Saturday morning, according to the state fire marshal's office.
WESTMINSTER, MD — A Westminster resident was treated for burns after their car caught on fire Saturday morning, according to the Maryland State Fire Marshal's office.
The blaze was reported about 10:38 a.m. at 4008 Rinehart Road in Westminster. The owner and occupant of the vehicle notices that vegetation under the Oldsmobile caught fire and spread, officiails said.
The owner was taken to Hopkins Bayview Burn Center by ambulance for treatment of non-threatening burn injuries.

The damage to the vehicle was estimated at $3,500.
The Manchester Volunteer Fire Company responded to the fire, which was ruled accidental.
