'Green' Crafts Fair, Vendors, Food Trucks Return With MOCO's GreenFest

WHEATON, MD — An environmental fair with crafts, food trucks, vendors and an electric car show is coming to Brookside Gardens Saturday.
“It is great news that ‘GreenFest’ has returned this year as an in-person gathering and I encourage all residents to join us at Brookside Gardens this Saturday,” said County Executive Marc Elrich. “Montgomery County is committed to building a community culture of environmental responsibility and sustainability. Community outreach efforts like ‘GreenFest’ engage new and diverse audiences of all ages to become more earth friendly in their own lives and habits."
The fair is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and there will be free shuttle service between the Glenmont Metro Station and the Gardens, the county said. Onsite parking will only be available for visitors with handicaps, the county said.

"This free event will have plenty of environmental activities, games and demonstrations, as well as resources that will both entertain and educate attendees," said Elrich. "I am thankful to our Department of Environmental Protection, Department of Transportation, Montgomery Parks and all of our community partners for organizing this event. Please join us, and bring your family, friends and neighbors.”
