Report: Man, Girl Shot in Aspen Hill Home Invasion

The shooting occurred in a home near Wheaton Woods Elementary School.

A 55-year-old man and a 14-year-old girl were shot shortly before 1 a.m. Thursday after two men forced their way into an Aspen Hill home and demanded money, according to Montgomery County police.

The suspects fled, and both victims were taken to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries, police said in a statement.

A man and teenage girl are in serious condition after they were shot during an early morning home invasion Thursday in Aspen Hill, according to news reports from CBSWJLA and The Gazette.

According to police, the shooting occurred just before 1 a.m. in the 13000 block of Freeland Road near Wheaton Woods Elementary School, CBS reported.

The man was shot in the chest, and the girl was struck in the ankle, WJLA reported.

Police identified the victims as a 55-year-old man and a 14-year-old girl, The Gazette reported.
