Here are five things to keep on your radar for the week ahead: Aug. 5-9.

1. Relax to some reggae music this Friday night as the Downtown Wheaton TGIF Summer Concert series continues.


2. Appreciate the amazing qualities of bats at this presentation by the Neighbors of the Northwest Branch. Free, Tuesday night, at the Wheaton Library.


3. Tuesday is National Night Out, devoted to building safer communities through collaboration between law enforcement and neighborhoods.

4. Do you know any high school girls interested in learning field hockey or improving their skills? There’s a free clinic this Tuesday at Sargent Shriver Elementary School.
