Taste of Wheaton: No Exhibitor Booths This Year

Find out what will be taking their place.

The Taste of Wheaton, an annual street festival featuring local restaurants selling low-cost "tastes" of their food, will not have room for any exhibitor booths this year, according to Sidney Cooper, the marketing and events manager for the Wheaton Urban District.

In years past, the exhibitor booths have been an opportunity for local businesses, civic associations, non-profits and other organizations to share information about themselves with the community.

So, what is taking the place of the booths this year?

"We will add a cooking demonstration tent featuring chefs from local restaurants and also have a food & wine tent featuring local farmers/artisans along with cheeses, meats, etc from the newly opened Costco," Cooper wrote in an email to Patch.

The Taste of Wheaton will be held on Sunday, June 9, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Parking Lot 13 area, bounded by Grandview Avenue, Reedie Drive and Triangle Lane in Wheaton.
