Three Ways to Have a Conversation on Patch
You can reach other people on the Wheaton Patch by commenting on stories, writing a letter to the editor, or blogging in our Local Voices section.

On Patch, we encourage you to engage in conversations with your neighbors and others who have an interest in the Wheaton community. One way to do this is by commenting on the stories posted each week on the Wheaton Patch.
If you find yourself frequently commenting on a particular type of story, perhaps you might consider writing a letter to the editor that captures your views on the subject.

All of our bloggers are connected to Wheaton in some way, and write generally about their day-to-day experiences or specifically about issues that affect Wheaton.
Blogging is free, and how often you post is completely at your discretion. We're looking for people with strong community voices. If you have a deep knowledge of Wheaton, why not give some context to current issues by talking about the past, or share how you've seen your neighborhood or schools change over the years? And if you're new (or relatively new) to the area, bring an outsider's perspective to the table by raising questions that the longstanding locals may have overlooked.
You don't have to be a politician or a community activist to blog on Patch. If you're passionate about something, write about it! If you're already writing about it on your personal blog, there's no restrictions about re-publishing it on Patch--so you can effectively expand your audience.
If you have any questions about the blogging process, send an email to esther.french@patch.com.
