2 Charged Following Prostitution Sting At Central MA Hotel

Both suspects were from Randolph.

SOUTHBOROUGH, MA — Two people are facing charges following a prostitution sting operation at a hotel in Central Massachusetts.

A 24-year-old female was accused of charging a fee for sexual conduct at 367 Turnpike Rd., the address of the Red Roof Inn Boston in Southborough, according to police. Another individual is also facing charges after police found 12 Percocet pills on his person.

The suspects, both from Randolph, were charged on Thursday. Taylah Messia, 24, was charged with sexual conduct for a fee and possession of a class B drug, while Paulino Afonso-Miranda, 36, was charged with intent to distribute a class B drug.

"This investigation was conducted to address ongoing concerns about illegal activity and its impact on the safety of our community," said Chief Newell. "These types of efforts are about preventing exploitation and reducing associated drug activity, which helps to keep our residents and visitors safe."

The investigation remains ongoing.
