How Warm Will MA Get This Week? Early Spring Comes In February
Many in Massachusetts will enjoy temperatures approaching 60 degrees this week, but rain and a chance of snow linger.

MASSACHUSETTS — Punxsutawney Phil might be right this year. The famous groundhog didn't see his shadow when he emerged in early February — and that means an early spring.
Massachusetts will be in for a wave of warm temperatures this week as February turns to March, plus some very spring-like wet weather, according to the National Weather Service. It's a pattern that might stick around for the next few weeks, according to long-range forecasts.
Temperatures will peak this week on Wednesday. Boston and other coastal areas could see highs in the upper 50s. It'll be much the same in the Worcester area, with highs around 55. Daytime temperatures will drop into the 30s on Thursday before creeping back up toward the 50s for the weekend.

Mitigating that warmth will be rain and wind during daytime hours on Wednesday. Wind gusts on Wednesday could reach above 40 mph in the Boston area. The outer Cape and islands could see gusts above 50 mph, according to the National Weather Service.

Monday, Tuesday and Friday will be sunny or partly cloudy, but also with temperatures in the lower 50s. The situation might change, but Saturday and Sunday could be ideal with temperatures in the 50s and partial sun. Sunday could end up being the warmest day of the week with temperatures as of Monday set to hit 57 in Worcester and Boston, but cooler out on Cape Cod reaching only the upper 40s.
