Well, you are all in luck this weekend as a roller coaster of weather brings a summery Saturday, stormy Saturday night and Sunday morning, and muggy and tropical Sunday, before a dramatically cooler and drier Monday sets the stage for a fall-like first full week of September across Massachusetts.

After a brilliant day Friday, Saturday will bring warmer temperatures and increasing humidity, according to the National Weather Service. Clouds will increase during the day with temperatures around 80 degrees but rain should mostly hold off until after dark.

Saturday night brings the risk of storms that could be strong with the chance of precipitation around 80 percent. Temperatures will hold steady in the mid-60s Saturday night after dipping into the low 50s in recent mornings.

Sunday will be very warm, humid and unstable with widespread showers in the morning and a chance of scattered showers or a thunderstorm in the afternoon. While it won't be a washout, a downpour could hit at any time on a day more reminiscent of June than the first day of September.

That will all change once again Sunday night as skies clear and wind shifts around to the northwest.

Monday will be a much cooler and drier day with highs near 70 degrees and very low humidity with dew points in the 40s. That will allow temperatures to crash as low as 44 degrees Monday night — setting the stage for a crisp, sunny week ahead with temperatures moderating toward next weekend.
