Police Log: Guy Sleeps in Car, Officer Saves Choking Patron

Friday, Aug. 23
12:03 a.m. – Police responded to a residential alarm activation on Great Road.
7:18 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a truck blocking traffic on Forest Road. The truck and trailer were moved to a different location, according to the log note.

8:52 a.m. – Police responded to main Street for a report of wires down across the roadway.
12:33 p.m. – After a report of a suspicious person on Ethan Allen Drive, an officer checked on a person sleeping in his car there.

1:08 p.m. – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident on Central Street.
2:20 p.m. – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident on Main Street.
2:38 p.m. – An Iris Court resident reported a neighbor was playing the music too loud.
4:55 p.m. – A disabled motor vehicle was reported in the area of routes 2 and 111, in the high-speed lane. State Police located the vehicle in the Acton Real Estate parking lot, and someone was on the way to assist the motorist.
6:11 p.m. – An accidental 911 call came in from Devon Drive.
7:14 p.m. – An officer picking up dinner on Great Road performed the Heimlich maneuver on a restaurant patron who was chocking on his food.
9:05 p.m. – Police responded to a report of vehicles parked on the wrong side of the road creating a traffic hazard on Harris Street.
11:53 p.m. – Police responded to a report of an iPod stolen from a bicycle parked outside on Mass Ave.
