Weekend Brings Unseasonably Cold Temperatures

Get ready for a cold weekend.

A hard freeze will be widespread across much of Massachusetts Sunday night into Monday morning according to the National Weather Service. It looks like temperatures are expected to be in the 20s across the interior and 30s along the immediate coast.

Here is the latest forecast for Sunday night, which will be the peak of this cold snap. It will be unseasonably cold Saturday through Monday night.

• Friday:A chance of showers, mainly before 9am. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny. High of 62 and low go 41. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
• Saturday: A slight chance of showers before 3pm. Chance of precipitation is 20%. Mostly sunny with a High of 55 and low of 31.
• Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 47 and low near 27.
• Monday: Sunny, with a high near 49 and low around 30.
