Erratic Operator Reported on North Main Street

The following are excerpts from the Andover Police log. The log is open to the public.

Saturday, July 23

  • At 10:34 a.m. a biker found a passport while riding on Lowell Street. The passport belonged to a Deerberry Lane resident.
  • At 11:30 a.m. identity theft was reported on Noel Road.
  • At 1:12 p.m. a caller reported an erratic operator who almost hit another vehicle and a group of pedestrians. The car was heading north on Route 28 into Lawrence and the Lawrence Police were notified.
  • At 5:24 p.m. police assisted with a motor vehicle fire in a driveway on Osgood Street. The Fire Department had the fire under control upon arrival.

  • At 12:20 a.m. a caller reported an odor of smoke in the Riverina Road area. Police could not find any source or smell.
  • At 12:55 p.m. police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Lowell Street involving a telephone pole. Minor injuries were reported. 
  • At 7:52 p.m. a caller reported that a man was going through the curbside trash and arguing with her husband. Police stopped by and calmed the situation.
