The Andover Fire Department was forced to evacuate dozens of homes in the Chandler Road area after a propane leak was reported at 72 Chandler Road.

Around 8 a.m. Tuesday morning, fire officials said that a construction vehicle working on the property at 72 Chandler Road mistakenly backed into the above-ground section of a 500-gallon underground propane tank.
