IMAGE GALLERY: Downtown Zombie Walk
People visiting downtown for a relaxing afternoon on Wednesday may have bitten off a little more than they could chew.
The kids program lets children be themselves in structured activities and, sometimes, field trips. But, at times, they also let them be other people. In the case of this past Wednesday, they were all zombies.
The Andover SHED summer kids program performed their “zombie walk” on Wednesday throughout downtown Andover, getting smiles (and maybe a few gasps) from all passerbys.
Program coordinator Dina Hurley and various other SHED staff members worked in the afternoon to help the group of about two dozen kids transform into zombies. Using mostly face paint and some tattered clothing that kids showed up with, even the staff members dressed up for this goulish mid-summer activity.

The group walked from the SHED headquarters on Phillips Street eventually making their way to Locke Street and took a left on Main Street. They then curled around at Chestnut Street and went the opposite way on Main.
