Send Off Rally for Andover National on Thursday

Celebrate the send off for state champs Andover National as they leave for the regionals in Bristol, Conn.

The Andover National little league baseball team are . Now, it's time to watch as they leave the state and start on the road to the regional championship. 

The town of Andover has organized a event Thursday morning to send off the state champions the right way. 

Complete with police escort, the Andover National baseball team will be leaving around 9 a.m. Thursday morning for the regionals in Bristol, Conn. and town officials, coaches, athletes and parents will all be there to see them off. The public are welcome to attend.

The ceremony begins at 8:45 a.m. at the front steps of the Town Offices on Bartlet Street. Town Manager Reginald "Buzz" Stapczynski will be saying a few words along with other town officials and athletic officials. 

A police escort will then lead the team out of Andover as they begin their trek south. If successful in Bristol, the team of 12-year-olds will have their shot at the Little League Championship in Williamsburg, Penn.
