Two Charged with Larceny for Bike Theft

The following are excerpts from the Andover Police log. The log is open to the public.

Saturday, July 30

  • At 12:46 p.m. a caller reported a tree fell and was blocking the roadway on Sheridan Road.
  • At 4:12 p.m. a caller reported a scam involving a locksmith on Hidden Road.
  • At 5:41 p.m. a caller reported three juveniles attempting to steal two bicycles on Stirling Street. Police responded and charged two males with larceny. They were summonsed to court.

  • At 12:27 a.m. police spoke with two youths sitting on the railroad tracks near Andover Street. They were sent along their way.
  • At 3:05 a.m. a caller on Stratford Road reported that kids were ringing the door bell and then running away.
  • At 11:21 a.m. a caller reported a hit and run on Hiddnefield Drive. He said that the damage occurred overnight.
  • At 12:53 p.m. a caller reported her car keys stolen on Elm Street.
