Arlington Falls Into Moderate-Risk Category With 68 New Cases
Arlington's total case count surpassed 500 this week.

ARLINGTON, MA — Arlington added 68 coronavirus cases over the last two weeks, bringing it to over 500 confirmed cases, according to town-by-town data released by the state. The town fell into the moderate-risk category, averaging 10.6 daily cases per 100,000 residents, with a test rate of 1.39 percent.
That's up from 5.6 average daily cases and a test rate of 0.8 percent last week. There have been 508 cases in Arlington since March.

Sixty-two Massachusetts communities were designated high-risk by the state on Thursday, more than doubling the list of red towns. More than three-quarters of the state's cities and towns reported rising positive test rates.
There have been 10,204 confirmed deaths and 192,050 confirmed cases statewide since the pandemic reached the Bay State in March. The statewide positive test rate rose to 3.2 percent, the highest level since early June.
