Coronavirus Cluster At Arlington School

Nine active coronavirus cases were linked to a classroom at a local private school.

ARLINGTON, MA — The Arlington Health Department is closely monitoring a cluster of positive coronavirus cases at St. Agnes, a private school in town, Public Health Director Natasha Waden said Tuesday.

Nine people at the school had active cases of the virus as of Dec. 1 and are quarantining at home, Waden said. The cluster is isolated to one classroom, and all students and staff in that room have been asked to get tested for COVID-19 before they return to in-person learning next week.

The affected grade transitioned to remote learning Nov. 21 in response to one positive case. The rest of the school also went remote this week and is scheduled to return to in-person learning on Monday.
