Police: Larceny, Three $250 Credit Card Transactions; Student Left Band Instrument at the Bus Stop

At 10:06 a.m., lost property at Thompson School. A student lost her school band instrument when she left it behind at the bus stop. Needed a report on file.

At 10:33 a.m., tree down on School Street. Truck cab sustained heavy front-end damage. Vehicle towed. Tree removed.

At 3:46 p.m., hit and run accident in area of Mt. Vernon Street. Victim stated he parked his vehicle across from the above mentioned address and was working in the area. When he returned to his vehicle, he observed that his driver’s side mirror had been knocked off. A note attached to the mirror which was placed on his windshield stated that a school bus had knocked his mirror off.

At 8:13 p.m., larcey on Newport Street. Party reported that someone had made three different cash advances for $250 from his credit card account. He received an alert from his credit card company about three different cash advances made in New Jersey. RP reported that he contacted Capital One and they advised him that a person named _____________ had opened a credit card under his account. The man reported he does not know anyone by that name, and does not know how they have access to his account. RP reported that the credit card that was used in NJ had a different credit card number than his, but was attached to his account. RP reported all these transactions were made at banks in NJ. The Arlington resident reported he checked his credit report, and there was no abnormal activity on it. He cancelled his credit card account.
