Boston Doctors Head to Liberia to Battle Ebola

Four doctors from Boston are traveling to Liberia to help stop the spread of the Ebola virus, the Boston Herald reported Tuesday.
The doctors, all of Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, are visiting the affected portions of the country as part of a project organized by Partners in Health, Last Mile Health and Wellbody Alliance in Sierra Leone, according to the Herald. The recent Ebola outbreak has claimed the lives of approximately 2,400 people so far, primarily in Liberia.

Most recently, Massachusetts Doctor Rick Sacra was transported back to the United States after becoming infected with the virus, the third American to become sick.
