Boston Not Impacted by Growing Doctor Shortage
The city was found to be among the top cities that have an "abundance of doctors".

Boston is not lacking in its number of available doctors.
So reveals a new study by BetterDoctor.com, an online healthcare tool aimed at helping citizens search for doctors in cities across the country.

The report, dubbed “ The BetterDoctor Health Opportunity Index,” reveals that the United States is now facing a shortage of more than 130,000 by the year 2025. And New York City is currently listed as Number 1 in the report’s “Top 25 U.S. Cities that Don’t Have Enough Doctors” list.
Boston, however, was not among the 25 cities listed that were seen to be most impacted by doctor shortages. Instead, Boston was listed third on BetterDoctor’s “Top 25 U.S. Cities That Have an Abundance of Doctors” list, with 81 residents per primary care doctor, following only Greenville, South Carolina at 44 and Atlanta, Georgia at 76.
