Boston Woman Charged with Assault and Battery with a Stick, Stealing a Bike

A Boston woman was charged with assault and battery with a stick and armed robbery on May 28.

Boston Police Officers arrested Maritza Carrasquillo of 889 Huntington Ave. on the strength of two warrants at 39 Boylston Street at about 1:03 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28. Officers charged her with one count of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and armed robbery.

The warrants pertained to an incident that took place in the South End at about 2:35 p.m. on Thursday, August 9, 2012. The Lenox Housing Development Management Office called in a report of an assault and battery in progress.

The victim said that three individuals attacked them with a stick and stole their bicycle 20 minutes prior to the police arriving. Of the three suspects described, one of them matched Carrasquillo.
