Police: Man Caught Breaking into Back Bay Apartment
The residents heard the man breaking in from their back porch.

Two Back Bay residents started their day on Wednesday by finding a Boston man breaking into their apartment.
Boston Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering in progress at 259 West Newton Street at about 5:08 a.m. on Wednesday, June 26.

On arrival, one officer ran in the front door, while another ran down the back alleyway. Officers left the building with the suspect in custody.
The victims told police that they heard strange noises on their deck in the rear of their apartment. The victims said that they saw the suspect reaching through a broken window, unlocking the door to the deck, which leads to the bathroom.

The victims then told the suspect that they were calling the police and then held the door shut, preventing the suspect from coming into their bedroom from the bathroom. The victims held the suspect there until the police arrived.
Officers charged Stefan Orzechodski of 444 Harrison Avenue with unarmed breaking and entering.
