Police: RI Man Chased Victim with Syringe in Library

According to the police, a Rhode Island man pulled a syringe on someone after puling the fire alarm.
Boston police responded to a report of a person chasing people with a syringe at 700 Boylston Street at about 2:51 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2013.
On arrival, police located the suspect at the Boylston Street exit at the Boston Public Library.

The victim told police the he saw the suspect pull the fire alarm in the Library. The suspect repeatedly pulled the fire alarm and the victim told him to stop. At this point, the suspect turned to the victim and pulled a syringe and said “they’re gonna kill you,” and started chasing the victim.
Officers placed the suspect into custody and recovered the syringe. The police ran the suspect’s information and found that there was a full extradition warrant out of Rhode Island for probation violation.

Officers charged Patrick Allen of 15 Peace Street, Warwick, R.I. and charged him with assault with a dangerous weapon, pulling a false fire alarm and being fugitive from justice.
