Police: Woman Attacked by Stranger Near Back Bay Station

The following information was supplied by the Boston Police Department.

Police said a woman was reportedly attacked by a stranger near Back Bay Station Friday evening. 

Boston Police officers responded to a report of an assault and battery near Back Bay Station at 6:58 p.m. on May 31.

Officers spoke to the victim, who said that an unknown female approached her and asked her if she knew Rico. When the victim replied, “no,” the suspect began punching the victim in the face and the head.

The victim was knocked to the ground, but got back to her feet and followed the suspect to East Newton and Huntington Avenue. At this point, the suspect got into a white Dodge Avenger and fled down Dalton Street.

The victim said that she did not know her attacker. Officers tried to locate the car, but were unsuccessful.
