Suffolk County District Attorney: Trooper Arraigned On Domestic Violence, Kidnapping Charges For Attack On I-93

Trooper Cavaco was ordered to stay away from the victim, and the city of Fall River, except to visit his attorney.

BOSTON, November 17, 2021— A Massachusetts State Trooper was arraigned on domestic violence, kidnapping, and strangulation charges in the Dorchester Division of Boston Municipal court today, Suffolk County District Attorney Rachael Rollins said.

JORDAN CAVACO, 27, of Brockton was ordered held on $2,500 bail, by Judge Samir Zaganjori. Because of the seriousness of the charges, the Commonwealth had asked for $10,000 bail. In addition, Trooper Cavaco was ordered to stay away from the victim, and the city of Fall River, except to visit his attorney. He will be fitted with GPS within 24 hours of posting bail.
