Suspicious Letters Investigated at Boston Schools

Good morning, Back Bay! Here are five things you need to know today, Friday, June 7:

1. SUSPICIOUS LETTERS AT BOSTON SCHOOLS: Boston Police are investigating several suspicious letters sent to different Boston Public Schools Thursday. The letters contained "threatening and disturbing" content, said police, but contained no dangerous subtances. Police said the letters were addressed to public schools in different areas of the city and were all postmarked from Texas.

4. THIS DAY IN HISTORY: On this day in 1913, Hudson Stuck, an Alaskan missionary, leads the first successful ascent of Mt. McKinley, the highest point on the American continent at 20,320 feet. Information courtesy of History.com.

5. TODAY'S FORECAST: Ugly. Showers, patchy fog with highs in the lower 60s today. More showers tonight with a low around 50 and a 90 percent chance of rain.
