Beacon Hill Street Sweeping Expanded to March and December

Sweeping to start March 1, weather permitting.

Beacon Hill will get two additional months of street sweeping this year, starting March 1.

The new schedules begin a month earlier than in years past and end a month later, meaning that sweeping will continue through the end of December from now on. Other than Beacon Hill, only the North End and South End have 10-month street sweeping.

"This expansion will provide cleaner streets for Beacon Hill residents and help reduce rodent food sources," the Beacon Hill Civic Association said in a press release, indicating that additional sweeping has been successful at curbing these problems in the North End and South End.
