Mass. Governor's Pick for President: Nobody
"I'm disappointed," Charlie Baker told reporters Tuesday, after leaving his presidential ballot blank.
SWAMPSCOTT, MA — Gov. Charlie Baker reportedly made good on his disenchanted declaration Tuesday, opting not to vote for his party's nominee, Donald Trump, or for Hillary Clinton.
The governor left that option blank instead, he told reporters.
"First time in my life I haven't voted for the president, and I'm obviously disappointed by that," Baker said after casting his ballot Tuesday, WCVB reports.

This goes back months and months to Super Tuesday, when Trump swept Massachusetts and other states in the Republican primary. Baker said at the time, and his repeated since, that he believes Trump is temperamentally unfit to be president. On the flip side, Baker said he still feels Clinton has "believability problems." Apparently, neither has convinced him otherwise in the nine months since.
That's why he's focused his energies on state ballot questions and local races, Baker has said.

Consistent with his public stances, Baker's votes on Tuesday's statewide ballot questions broke down like this:
- No on Question 1 (slots parlors)
- Yes on Question 2 (charter schools)
- Yes on Question 3 (livestock confinement)
- No on Question 4 (marijuana legalization)
