Hearing to Address Problem of Tour Bus Idling
City Councilors are asking what laws regulate commercial and tour bus idling in Boston neighborhoods.

There will be a City Council hearing today on bus idling -- including commercial and tour buses.
The hearing is sponsored by Charlestown's own District 1 Councilor, Sal LaMattina, as well as At-Large Councilor Felix Arroyo.
The councilors want to discuss with city officials what laws and regulations currently exist for bus idling at the municipal and state levels, further actions that could be taken to eliminate unnecessary bus idling, and which agencies have jurisdiction over bus idling.
