Here's What Massachusetts Politicians Had to Say About Crude Donald Trump Audio
Old audio of Trump claiming his stardom allowed him to grope women received an icy reception in the Bay State.
Even prominent Republican supporters reeled away from Donald Trump over the weekend, expressing disgust and condemnation for newly surfaced, decade-old audio in which the businessman and reality star can be heard claiming his fame allows him to grope women at will.
"When you’re a star, they let you do it,” he told to former “Access Hollywood” host Billy Bush. “Grab them by the p---y. ... You can do anything.”
The comments roiled Trump's own party, despite a subsequent video apology from the candidate.

In Massachusetts, politicians' reactions were sharp. We've collected a few below.
Hitting on married women? Condoning assault? Such vile degradations demean our wives and daughters and corrupt America's face to the world.

.@realdonaldtrump: Were you lying or was sexual assault part of your action every day? It’s a simple question. You should have to answer it.

One political hopeful, however, checked his initial disgust and swung right around to defending his man. One guess who that might be.

Curt Schilling, he who's mulling a bid to unseat Sen. Elizabeth Warren, spent much of the weekend rebutting critical tweets and sharing other Twitter users' defenses of Trump.
Even he was initially appalled by Trump's comments, he wrote. But then, according to Schilling, he "stepped back from the ledge," realizing he "let the liberal media get me swept up."
On his 38 Pitches blog, Schilling wrote:
"Livid. That was my initial, emotional and first reaction to the release of the audio/video tape last night.
I’m out, no more. That was my second thought.
My third?
If I’m out on this man, I have no options.
I can’t vote for a criminal."
