TEN STEPS TOWARDS BECOMING A HEALTHIER BOSTONIAN

"A healthful lifestyle is easier than you might think, and on July 30th you will find out why. The Beacon Hill Civic Association Young Friends are sponsoring a Health & Exercise Event! The staff from Fitness Together will be at 74 Joy Street to guide members of the Beacon Hill community down the path to better health and fitness!"

"THE POWER OF BLACK MUSIC"

Join the Museum of African American History at 46 Joy St. Wednesday evening for "The Power of Black Music: From the Underground Railroad through the Civil Rights Movement." WGBH Radio Host Eric Jackson will trace the roots and the significant role of black music in movements of organized resistance. BREWER PLAZA TOUR

The Friends of the Public Garden are holding a tour Thursday of the Brewer Fountain Plaza on Boston Common as they plan to complete the renovation project in the area.

According to the Friends' website, Executive Director Elizabeth Vizza will lead the tour starting at 4 p.m. to show the area of the Boston Common that has been the subject of a $4 million renovation project by the Friends.
