Political Star Lucy Flores Provides Hope to Youth at Chica Project Event
The Nevada Congress candidate encouraged young Latina women to pursue political fields.

Lucy Flores, Latina politician, joined Chica Project Sunday to encourage a room of young Massachusetts Latinas to pursue political careers.
Flores, 35, shared her story of overcoming familial disarray, gang life, and juvenile incarceration to later become a Democratic nominee for lieutenant governor. She is a current candidate for Congress in Nevada.
Flores was joined by Boston City Councilors Ayanna Pressley and Tito Jackson at the event as part of Chica’s annual celebration and fundraiser, which takes place at Suffolk University Law School.
