YOUR TURN: Is Expanded Street Sweeping a Good Thing?
Beacon Hill street sweeping will start as early as March 11.

The city has expanded its street sweeping program on Beacon Hill into March and December. Scheduled to begin March 1, this year's start was postponed to March 11.
The city made the change after being asked to do so by the Beacon Hill Civic Association. The South End got expanded street sweeping last year, and the North End has it as well.
Proponents say that adding March and December to the yearly schedule helps make the Hill cleaner and cuts down on rodent food sources – both important considerations in these tightly packed neighborhoods.

But some say that more street sweeping is more hassle. It means there are two extra months every year that they need to worry about moving their car from the street or get towed.
What do you think? Is expanded street sweeping a good thing for Beacon Hill?
