Belmont Summer Music Festival: The Concert

The initial concert of the Belmont Summer Music Festival was running a bit later than the official 2 p.m. start time.

"We're gonna start seven minutes late, just like at Symphony Hall," quipped Nathaniel Meyer, music director and conductor of the BSMF.

But neither lateness nor a limited rehearsal schedule would deter Meyer in directing a pair of wonderful performances before a packed Beech Street Center on Saturday and Sunday.
