Summer vacation ends this week with the beginning of the 2010 - 2011 school year. Nearly 4,000 students will be in classes for the first time on Thursday, Sept. 2, a day after the first group of elementary school students, half the middle and high school head back to class on Wednesday, Sept. 1.  While school has started, students will not be spending the entire day in classes on Friday as the system has a half-day scheduled before the Labor Day holiday.  In addition, the school bus schedule is out.
