Dorchester House Fire Leaves 3 Homeless
A fire broke out in the basement of a Dorchester home and spread to the first floor.

BOSTON — Three residents were displaced after a fire ripped through a Morton Street home in Dorchester Wednesday morning. Fire officials said crews made quick work of the fire and no injuries were reported.
Around 11 a.m., a call came in reporting a basement fire with flames coming up to the back porches. Officials estimated the blaze caused about $25,000 in damage to the building.
Police closed Morton Street at Harvard Street as crews worked the scene.
